God Gives Us Strength Even In Old Age

Beloved, will God still be able to depend on you enough to do battle for HIM at your old age? If God calls you when you are old, will you go? For all who serve God and never quit, HE gives strength and grace to do battle in HIS name no matter how old they are.

Joshua 13:1 and 14:10 (Read Joshua 13 1-33 and 14:1-15 for Full Context)

Joshua 13:1
1 Now Joshua was old and well along in years, and the LORD said to him, “You are old and well along in years, but very much of the land remains to be possessed. 2This is the land that remains:…

Joshua 14:10
10 Now behold, as the LORD promised, He has kept me alive these forty-five years since He spoke this word to Moses, while Israel wandered in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old, 11still as strong today as I was the day Moses sent me out. As my strength was then, so it is now for war, for going out, and for coming in.

Will You Choose To Wait On God?

Beloved, Our wives bring beauty, grace and balance to our lives ane men are better for it. Today’s inspiration is courtesy of my lovely wife and it comes with a beautiful song

Isaiah 40:27-31 Comfort for God’s People
27 O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
28 Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
29 He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.
31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

God Conquers Our Enemies And Gives Us Lands And Inheritance

Beloved,

God has conquered so many enemies for us and acquired so much inheritance for us. Take hold of your inheritance God has for you and plan to pass it on down to your children. Are you leaving a godly legacy for your children?

Land and inheritance is important to God and to us HIS children. Look at all the kings God helped Israel conquer and their lands taken and given to the children of Israel as an inheritance. Lord, help me remember to appreciate you for all you’ve conquered for me and be good stewards over all inheritance you’ve given me in JESUS name, Amen.

Joshua 12:6 (Read Verses 1-24 for Full Context)
6 Moses, the servant of the LORD, and the Israelites had struck them down and given their land as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh

Romans 8:17
17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

Ephesians 1:11
11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.

Obedience To God Leads To Victories Over Our Enemies And God Fights For Us

Beloved, even in the times of war, if we listen to and obey God completely like Joshua, HE defeats our enemies for us no matter how many band together against us. Our obedience to God seals the victory over our enemies even to the point of giving us rest from wars.

Joshua 11: 6 and 23 (Read Verses 1-23 For Context)
6 Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for by this time tomorrow I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn up their chariots.”
.23 So Joshua took the entire land, in keeping with all that the LORD had spoken to Moses. And Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to the allotments to their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.

2 Kings 6:13-17
13 So the king said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send men to capture him.”
On receiving the report, “Elisha is in Dothan,”
14 the king of Aram sent horses, chariots, and a great army. They went there by night and surrounded the city.
15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early in the morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. So he asked Elisha, “Oh, my master, what are we to do?”
16 “Do not be afraid,” Elisha answered, “for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17 Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw that the hills were full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Romans 8:31
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Happy Resurrection Sunday. Think And Appreciate Our Lord JESUS For Saving Us Through HIS Sacrifice

Beloved, today, and as it should be always, lets focus on the last 7 words of our Lord JESUS as we celebrate Resurrection Sunday.

God Gives Us Victory Over Our Enemies

Beloved, when the Lord promises to defeat our enemies for us, HE keeps HIS words. God has given us victory over all our enemies and we will always be victorious if we follow HIS directions/commands

Joshua 10:8,25,40 and 42 (Read 1-42 for full Context)
8 The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for I have delivered them into your hand. Not one of them shall stand against you.”
25 “Do not be afraid or discouraged,” Joshua said. “Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all the enemies you fight.”
40 So Joshua conquered the whole region—the hill country, the Negev, the foothills,g and the slopes, together with all their kings—leaving no survivors. He devoted to destruction everything that breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded. 41Joshua conquered the area from Kadesh-barnea to Gaza, and the whole region of Goshen as far as Gibeon.
42 And because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel, Joshua captured all these kings and their land in one campaign. 43Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.

1 John 5:4
4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

2 Corinthians 2:14
14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

Keep Your Promises Like God Keeps HIS

Beloved, is your word your bond? Do you keep the promises you make? If we are to be like our Father God or be seen in the image of HIS Son our Lord JESUS, then we must speak carefully and only make vows or promises we will keep. If you make a promise, keep it even if it hurts. May God help us keep our promises and be more like HIM who always keeps HIS in JESUS name, Amen

Joshua 9:19-21 (For Context Read19-26)
19 All the leaders answered, “We have sworn an oath to them by the LORD, the God of Israel, and now we cannot touch them.
20 This is how we will treat them: We will let them live, so that no wrath will fall on us because of the oath we swore to them.”
21 They continued, “Let them live, but let them be woodcutters and water carriers for the whole congregation.” So the leaders kept their promise.

Psalm 15:1-4
1 Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
2 Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
3 Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
4 Those who despise flagrant sinners, and honor the faithful followers of the LORD, and keep their promises even when it hurts.

Ecclesiastes 5:4
4 When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him.

Be Mindful Who You Make Covenant With And Hear From God Before You Do

Beloved, please do not be easily deceived by, or quickly join in agreement or covenant with anyone no matter how much flattery or good words they say to you. Pray and ask for God’s counsel, direction and approval and HE will reveal them to you. We must be careful who we let into our lives and we must be discerning. Test all spirits to see if they are false or of God

Joshua 9:14-16 (Read 1‐18 for Context)
14 Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they [e]did not ask counsel of the Lord.
15 So Joshua made peace with them, and made a covenant with them to let them live; and the rulers of the congregation swore to them.
16 And it happened at the end of three days, after they had made a covenant with them, that they heard that they were their neighbors who dwelt near them.

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
19 Do not quench the Spirit.
20 Do not despise prophecies.
21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
22 Abstain from every form of evil.

God Is With Us Even In The Midst Of Betrayal

Beloved, Many will go against us and betray us once they hear or see the purpose God has for us or when they hear the dreams from God that we share. So be careful who you share your dreams and visions with. Also know that God will preserve us in the pit our enemies trap us in, HE will preserve us through our betrayals, and HE will show us favor in the midst of trouble if we stay in and with HIS plan for our lives no matter how hard our path is in JESUS name, Amen.

Genesis 37:12-36
Then his brothers went to feed their father’s flock in Shechem. And Israel said to Joseph, “Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them.” So he said to him, “Here I am.” Then he said to him, “Please go and see if it is well with your brothers and well with the flocks, and bring back word to me.” So he sent him out of the Valley of Hebron, and he went to Shechem. Now a certain man found him, and there he was, wandering in the field. And the man asked him, saying, “What are you seeking?” So he said, “I am seeking my brothers. Please tell me where they are feeding their flocks. ” And the man said, “They have departed from here, for I heard them say, ‘Let us go to Dothan.’ ” So Joseph went after his brothers and found them in Dothan. Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Then they said to one another, “Look, this dreamer is coming! Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!” But Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, “Let us not kill him.” And Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit which is in the wilderness, and do not lay a hand on him”—that he might deliver him out of their hands, and bring him back to his father. So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him. Then they took him and cast him into a pit. And the pit was empty; there was no water in it. And they sat down to eat a meal. Then they lifted their eyes and looked, and there was a company of Ishmaelites, coming from Gilead with their camels, bearing spices, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carry them down to Egypt. So Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is there if we kill our brother and conceal his blood? Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother and our flesh.” And his brothers listened. Then Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt. Then Reuben returned to the pit, and indeed Joseph was not in the pit; and he tore his clothes. And he returned to his brothers and said, “The lad is no more; and I, where shall I go?” So they took Joseph’s tunic, killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the tunic in the blood. Then they sent the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said, “We have found this. Do you know whether it is your son’s tunic or not?” And he recognized it and said, “ It is my son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him. Without doubt Joseph is torn to pieces.” Then Jacob tore his clothes, put sackcloth on his waist, and mourned for his son many days. And all his sons and all his daughters arose to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted, and he said, “For I shall go down into the grave to my son in mourning.” Thus his father wept for him. Now the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard.

Love And Respect Others; Thou Shall Not Kill

Beloved, our Father is asking us to take care of our hearts and the things we say or do in relation to others around us. Beyond loving God and ourselves, we must love and respect others too. We must live to honor God by loving the people Christ our Lord JESUS died for i.e. no murdering, no hatred, no malice, no evil thoughts towards others, no evil words spoken to or about others…I could go on. Lord, help me show my love and respect for you by loving those You love in JESUS name, Amen.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:21-22, our Lord JESUS takes, “Thou shall not kill”, the 6th “commandment to a deeper level. “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.”” (The 10 Commandments: An Expression of God’s Love)

Colossian 3:12-17
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
