Our Rainbow Promise – God Truly Loves Us

God gave us a reassuring promise right after the floods Noah and his family escaped abated. God gave Noah and his family hope for the future with this promise and they in turn had faith in God and moved forward with living their lives for God. This promise still stands today, praise God!!!, so have no fear. Instead have faith and hope in God that He will always protect and make provision for us.

Genesis 8:20-22
20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and there he sacrificed as burnt offerings the animals and birds that had been approved for that purpose.
21 And the LORD was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.
22 As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

Genesis 9:12-17
12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

Our Sins = Shortened Life Span, Christ’s Sacrifice = Eternal Life

God’s next promise to mankind was provoked by us. As much love and mercy and grace He gives us, we must be careful not to continue in sin or a sinful lifestyle. Because we can frustrate His grace and unleash His wrath on us. In response to man’s wickedness on earth God reduced the length of our physical lives, but because of Christ our Lord’s sacrifice He gave us spiritual eternal life Hallelujah Amen!!!

Genesis 6:3
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal ; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

John 3:16
16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Victory From The Heel Of Our Lord Jesus The Christ

A promise to remember and a blessing indeed is the verse below. Though it was spoken in the midst of a curse, it is the very guarantee of our victory through Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. This speaks of Christ our Lord Jesus and the action He would take on the devil on our behalf. Praise God Hallelujah it has come to pass

Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

A Woman As Wife Is The Blessing God Planned For Men

Our God said in His word that it was not good for Adam to be alone. In the same respect, I’m certain His blessing/promise for us is to see/find that suitable mate for us. If for some reason this is not working out for you, take these verses back to our God and pray asking for Him to make our spouses suitable for us. It is a blessing to find a spouse and be married too and Dont give up on that spouse as God is still perfecting the work in Him or Her.

Genesis 2:18
18The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Proverbs 18:22
Aramaic Bible in Plain English
22 He that finds a wife finds a good thing, and receives the will of Lord Jehovah, and he that puts away a good wife puts away good from his house.

God Has Promised His Children Rest

The next blessing/promise I believe God gave to us, now this is my perspective or opinion, is the blessing of “rest”. Now this is a blessing that even I don’t use very well, but it has remarkable restoration and healing for the body when we use it. Even our Almighty and powerful God rested on the seventh day from all of His work.

Genesis 2:2-3
2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Psalm 127:2
2 It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.

We Have Been Blessed With Food To Eat

We have been guaranteed one of our basic needs, food to eat. Our God will never let us go hungry

Genesis 1:29-30
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

Psalm 37:25
25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

Promises And Blessings From God To Us

We have received a brief overview of 5 things to focus on in order to be effective Christians. 1. A good Foundation and very Deep roots in Christ Jesus and His Word 2. Lots of Patience 3. Overcoming and withstanding persecution 4. Bearing or Producing fruits/character worthy of praise and 5. Receiving rewards and God’s glory.

We will now focus on the reasons why we should build our lives around these 5 things. And that is so we may please God and obtain and experience “ALL” of His promises/blessings to us. Each day, and for as long as it takes us, we will reveal God’s promise or legacy He gave to us from Genesis to Revelations.

Promise/Blessing #1
God made us like Him and has given us dominion to reign and rule in this earth, increase in it and produce in it.

Genesis 1:27
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

God Does Reward Us On Earth

There is so much to consider when thinking about our rewards and the glory of God that increases upon our lives. For those who live for Him, I’m certain that we will experience blessings from glory to glory if we remain patient and endure as well as overcome the trials we face.

2 Corinthians 3:18
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Isaiah 62:1-3
1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
2 The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory;you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.
3 You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

We Are A Reflection Of God’s Glory

God from the beginning has always designed for us to be a reflection of His glory. We are not trying to obtain something we never had, instead we are reclaiming what was lost by our first earthly ancestor Adam. Only through faith in Christ and patience do we reclaim God’s promise. Our original design was to reign on earth on God’s behalf and we still can through Christ. This is part of the reward and glory God has planned for us.

Genesis 1:27-28
27 So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Hebrews 6:11-12
11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

Our End Goal, To Be Like Our Lord Jesus

Our end-goal is to be fully conformed to the image of Christ our Lord Jesus. This is our greatest glory and reward. Can you imagine you being just like our Lord Jesus? I can’t comprehend it, but we will be just like Him. So yes, everything we are going through for His name sake is refining us so we could glow and flow like our Lord 🙂

Romans 8:29
29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

1 Corinthians 15:49
49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man.

2 Corinthians 3:18
18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
