New Series – The Words We Speak…

Is there any injustice on my tongue? (Job 6:30) Woooow! A question that should rattle even the most righteous of men. Should we not take the time to carefully consider all we have said and are now about to say? I am confident that if all alive today, who can make any decisions in positions of authority, would carefully consider this question, examine their hearts, and speak righteously, a great deal of change and good things will begin to form around us. Why don’t you give it a try and see what happens around you in the next few weeks.

New Series – The Words We Speak…

Care should be taken about how we speak and the things we say. This is so important because of the fact that we interact with people a lot as we live out our daily lives. And the things we say and how we say them does affect their lives and our lives too. So what would you prefer, to be considered as a rash, rude, tongue lashing and insensitive speaker or as a kind, gentle, and comforting speaker? Consider these verses:

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. 2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few.

Please speak carefully.

New Series – The Words We Speak

If we are in concert with God, that is our heart and mind is fixed with HIS to the point where our hearts desires and will matches HIS, then as HIS heirs (Co-heirs with Christ Our Lord Jesus) will we be able to speak things into existence and they will be. For instance, we would be able to heal the sick, raise the dead, calm storms etc just like our Lord Jesus The Christ was able to do. Please read Job 22:28 “You will also declare (or decree) a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. Amen.

The Words We Speak…

Do you realize how weighty or powerful your words are? Let me clue you in on how powerful they are. Please read:

Deuteronomy 32:1 “Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

Proverbs 12:18 There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

Matthew 12:36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Please be careful about what you say!

The Words Of My Mouth

In continuing our series, it is my belief that our words go a long way in relaying our feelings and thoughts to others and by our very words we shape and form the moods, relationships, and things around us. If this is the case, then care must be taken when and how we speak. God’s words commands the same care in our speech in Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Amen.

New Series – The Words We Speak Expresses Love And Creates Our World

Imagine being disciplined enough to control your tongue to only speak God’s words, kind things to others, or life to dead-looking things around you! What if…

Please read the following and comment as you please:

Proverbs 18: 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Proverbs 16:1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

James 3: 2 For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. 3 If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. 4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. 10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.

New Series – The Words We Speak Expresses Love And Creates Our World

Just like in the beginning, God spoke and created our world so also we who are reborn in and through Christ Jesus our Lord can speak things that are not as though they are – meaning we can call things into being by faith and they will show up or manifest. But, the things we call forth have to be approved and/or allowed by God so it brings HIM glory and praise. Also, the motivation for calling forth these things has to be love for others and not just for ourselves. In short, because of love we should say and do things for others just like Christ did when HE walked the earth (including praying for miracles, asking for healing and/or changes for others lives etc). For the next couple of weeks, we will share words and verses that will reveal what God says about expressing Love and creating things in our world via the words we say. Your comments are welcome:

Let all of us be very careful not to speak hurtful things about others, Dont gossip or help spread rumours James 4:11, 2 Corinthians 12:20, Proverbs 12:18, Ephesians 4:29. Also, please do not judge or condemn others or over criticize them Matthew 7:1, Luke 6:37. As you do unto others, the same may be done to you Galatians 6:7. Rather let praises and encouragement come from you as you esteem others higher than you esteem yourself Philippians 2:3, Romans 12:10, Hebrews 10:24-25, Hebrews 3:13.

May God help us be more like HIM in Jesus name, Amen.

Would You Rather Be At The Mercy of Men or GOD?

Please consider this, would God treat you better or would man? I say God would treat us better. What do you think?
2 Samuel 24:14 Then David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man.” Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Psalms 84:10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psalms 118: 8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. 9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.

If You Wait On God, He Will Give You Strength

Isaiah 40: 29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. 30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
